艺术家简介  田中泯（舞踏艺术家、农夫）无论作为一个表演者还是编舞者，都是那种具有开阔风景的先锋人士。他从七十年代早期开始通过即兴表演探索人的身体与动作，创造出原创性十足的舞蹈，力图将身体从功能主义和陈旧的美学束缚中解放出来，他在都市里裸体舞蹈，就像他在自然景色中舞蹈一样。

1985年，田中泯创立了一个舞者和其它艺术家亲密协作的“身体气象农庄”，艺术家在农庄里过着集体的平民生活，耕种，放牧，收割，彼此分享日常生活，并探究从农事活动中生发出来的舞蹈。这种“终生契约”的农庄生活给予他机会去见证生命与生命间关系的进化形式，以及舞蹈作品中的情感。

田中泯及其舞团的演出遍及全世界，不仅在剧场和博物馆，所到之处多选择异样场地，如街道、广场、屋顶、地下室、花园、森林、沙漠、河流甚至海洋。正如Kazue Kobata所说：“田中泯试图通过舞蹈完成其对于整个生命存在体的敏感、醒觉、轮回的历史”。

Min Tanaka  (Butoh artist and farmer ) is a pioneer within the vast landscape of dance, both as a performer and as choreographer. In the early 1970s, he began to create original dance works, exploring the meaning of the body and movement through improvisation. In an attempt to free the body from functionalism and conventional aesthetics, his dances were often nude, taking place in urban as well as natural settings.

In 1985,Tanaka founded “Body Weather Farm”, a cooperative environment for dancers and artists. Life in the farm includes living a common life, sharing everyday life and raise crops and animals, exploring the origins of dance through farming life. His “lifetime contract” offers the opportunity to witness the constantly evolving forms and emotions in his dance over time.

Min Tanaka and his company have danced in theatres, museums, streets, fields, forests, gardens, deserts, rivers and oceans, rooftops and basements around the world. As Kazue Kobata wrote: “ Becoming alert, sensitised and transmigrating through the history of life as a whole, in this very existence, is what [Tanaka] tries to achieve through dance”.
